We are with you in spirit, lifting up your teenage son and your family in prayer during this challenging time. Firstly, we commend you for your love and concern for your son. It is important to remember that God is our ultimate healer and refuge, and following the teachings and practicing the tools your son has learned aligns with the scriptures.
Please know God's comfort in your fear. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved son and his family to You. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon this young man. We pray that the tools and teachings he has received will be firmly planted in his heart and mind, and that he will be guided by Your Spirit to apply them diligently as he is released from the hospital.
Father, we also lift up this family, asking for Your peace and strength to envelop them during this time. Cast out all fear and anxiety by Your divine comfort, and grant them the wisdom and patience to support their son in the best way possible. We pray for unity, love, and understanding among all of them, that they may continue to seek You through this journey.
We pray that you lead them to a solid Christian Believing church, that they may have a support system and a community that encourages them to grow in Christ, that they may have a community that is able to mentor and disciple them, especially your son. We pray that he is able to have a Christian mentor that may guide him in ways that we may not be able to. We pray that he is able to have a strong Christian male role model that may teach him the godly way to live his life. Finally, we pray that he would be reborn as a Christian into a new life, that he may be able to confidently say that he knows where he will go when he dies. We pray that he will have a strong sense of security in that. We pray that he will be able to live his life without fear of death. We pray that he will be able to have the confidence that he knows he will have eternal life. We pray that he will give his life to Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, guidance, and restoration for this family. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and that His love for you and your family is unfailing. Also, be in the word, praying for God's guidance and wisdom in how to best help him. Psalm 91:1-2 WEB "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust."
Consider also praying Psalm 23:1-4 WEB "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Lastly, consider also praying Psalm 91:11-12 WEB "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone."
Please join us in praying for your son, his well-being, and a faith that will empower him to grow stronger and closer to God. There is no other name that we can be saved by. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God.
