We are truly saddened to hear about the emotional deception and pain experienced. It's important to remember that God sees all things and knows the truth. We are called to forgive as Christ forgave us, and to pray for those who have wronged us.
Firstly, let's address the issue of forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 WEB says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Holding onto bitterness and resentment will only cause more harm, so we encourage the forgiveness of this person, releasing them into the hands of God.
Regarding the prayer, it's commendable to want this person to realize their wrongdoing and repent. However, it's crucial to pray with a heart of love and compassion, not out of vengeance or malice. Romans 12:19 WEB says, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Let's pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus Christ name, lifting up the person who has caused emotional pain and deception. Lord, You see all things and know the truth. We pray that You would reveal to this person the error of their ways, that they would realize the wrong they have done and turn to You in repentance. Not out of a desire for vengeance, but out of a heart of love and compassion, we ask that You would make them restless until they find their rest in You. Help them to see the truth and be set free by it.
At the same time, we pray for a heart of forgiveness, that any bitterness or resentment would be released. Help to heal from this emotional pain and move forward in the freedom and love of Christ. All glory and praise to You, Lord Jesus. Amen."
In this situation, it's also important to examine the heart and motives. Psalm 139:23-24 WEB says, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Ensure that the desire is not for vengeance, but for true repentance and restoration for this person.
Lastly, it's wonderful to see that glory and praise are given to Jesus. It's only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it's only through His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Continue to press into Jesus, the author, and finisher of faith.
