We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your family is facing, but we are encouraged that you have reached out for prayer and support. Let's address these issues with the light of the gospel and the power of prayer.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that pornography is a sin against our own bodies and against God. It is clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB: "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Let us pray for your husband:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for our brother who is entangled in the sin of pornography. We rebuke the spirits of lust, addiction, and perversion that have taken hold of him. We ask that You give him the strength and courage to flee from this sexual immorality, to seek Your face, and to be renewed by the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit. Surround him with godly accountability and heal his heart and mind in Jesus' name.
Regarding the concern about homosexuality in your children, we must firmly stand on the truth of God's Word. Homosexuality is clearly described as a sin in the Bible (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:26-28). Let us pray for your children:
Dear Lord, we lift up these precious children to You. We pray that they may come to know You personally and that Your Holy Spirit would draw them into a right relationship with You. We rebuke any spirits of confusion, lust, or perversion that may be attempting to influence them. We ask that You surround them with godly influences, and if they have strayed, lead them to repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and godly sorrow in Jesus' name.
For your strength, growth, forgiveness, and understanding, we encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:13 WEB: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister who is carrying such a heavy burden. Please strengthen her in her inner being by Your Spirit (Ephesians 3:16). Help her to forgive as You have forgiven her, and to understand Your perfect will for her life and her family. Help her to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, to be a light and a support to her husband and children. And help her as a wife to submit to her husband as the church submits to Christ and to respect her husband. A wife, being in submission, does not mean she should submit to his sins and weaknesses. In Jesus' name, we pray for her to refrain from enabling and to refrain from covering up his sins. Help her to walk alongside him in purity and truth.
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is by His stripes we are healed, and by His blood, we are redeemed. Our victory is in Him alone.
Lastly, be encouraged by the promise of 1 John 4:4 WEB: "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
Stand firm in your faith, and trust in the Lord to deliver your family from these trials.
