We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your husband is facing, but we are encouraged that you have reached out for prayer and support. Pornography is a sin that can entangle and destroy lives, but there is hope and freedom in Jesus Christ. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God can break these chains and bring restoration.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your request. It is only through His name that we can find salvation and victory. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved husband who is battling against pornography addiction. We know that this is not Your will for his life, and we stand in the gap, praying for his deliverance and freedom.
Lord, we know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) We put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11 WEB)
Father, we pray that You will give him the strength and courage to turn away from this sin and run towards You. May he find his identity and satisfaction in You alone. Help him to renew his mind according to Your Word, as Romans 12:2 WEB says, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
We pray for conviction in his heart, that he may see this sin as You see it. Grant him repentance leading to knowledge of the truth, that he may come to his senses and escape from the devil's snare, having been held captive by him to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:25-26 WEB)
We also pray for you, dear sister, that God will give you the grace, patience, and wisdom to support your husband in this battle. May your marriage be strengthened and restored, built on the foundation of Jesus Christ, our Chief Cornerstone. Ephesians 5:31 WEB
In Jesus' mighty name, we rebuke the enemy and his evil schemes. We declare victory and freedom over this husband's life. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband and to seek godly counsel and support. Remember the promise in James 5:16 WEB: "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Stand strong in the faith, and trust in the power of God to bring healing and restoration to your husband and your marriage.
