We join you, Brother in Christ, in lifting up Germany and all those affected by this tragic event. We commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is the only name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We pray for the healing of the injured, asking God to restore their health and strength according to His will. We remember the words of Psalm 147:3 WEB: He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We trust in God's power to comfort and heal, both physically and emotionally.
For those who have lost loved ones, we ask for God's comfort and peace. We remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:4 WEB: Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. We pray that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
We also pray for the people of Germany, asking God to restore peace and provide protection and security as they journey together. We ask God to guard their hearts from fear and turn them towards Him in faith and obedience during this challenging time.
Let us also remember the scripture about the Dangers from Within and Without (Matthew 10:16-33). We live in a fallen world where such tragedies will happen and we are not guaranteed safety. Even Jesus was not spared from crucifixion in our fallen world. We are guaranteed the opportunity for salvation, eternal life in Heaven, and peace and joy in Him amongst the troubles of the world. We are to hold fast to Christ Jesus, regardless. We may face the same fate if we live in this world but our reward in Heaven is assured.
Finally, we pray for the individual(s) who committed this act, asking God to bring conviction and repentance to their heart(s). Romans 3:23-24 For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; We pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth of the gospel and the gravity of their actions.
Together, we stand in the gap for Germany and all those affected, praying for healing, comfort, peace, and salvation in Jesus' name.
