Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of hope and trust in Your divine plan. We lift up this man, an old acquaintance, and his elderly mother. We pray for her health, Lord, asking that You sustain her and provide her with comfort and strength. As it is written in Isaiah 40:29, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." May Your healing hand be upon her, granting her peace and restoration.
Lord, we also bring before You the desire for a deeper connection between these two individuals. We ask that You guide them both and help them to heal from their pasts. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it is said, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" May they both embrace the newness of life in Christ and find healing in Your love.
Father, we pray that this man may have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and seek You daily. In John 15:5, Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing." May he remain in You, Lord, and find strength and purpose in his relationship with You.
We also pray for freedom from any addictions that may be present. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, it is written, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." May he find the strength to overcome any struggles and live in the freedom that Christ provides.
Lord, we ask for encouragement and guidance for this individual seeking a Christian husband. In Proverbs 3:5-6, it says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." May this person trust in Your plan and find peace in Your guidance, knowing that You have a perfect plan for their life.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
