Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of hope and trust, lifting up this prayer request for an old acquaintance and his elderly mother. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her, for You are the Great Physician. As it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." May she experience Your comfort and strength in her time of need.
Father, we also bring before You the desire for a deeper connection and potential relationship. We ask that You guide both hearts in Your wisdom and love. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." May this individual find encouragement and clarity in Your guidance.
Lord, we pray for healing from past wounds for both individuals. As it is written in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." May they find peace and restoration in Your presence.
We also pray for a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ for this man. May he seek You daily and grow in faith, as Colossians 2:6-7 says, "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."
If there are any struggles with addiction, we ask for complete recovery and freedom. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Lastly, we lift up the desire for a Christian husband, asking for Your perfect timing and choice. May this individual be encouraged and guided by Your hand. As it is written in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
