Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s prayer request regarding her son's desire to marry the girl he has been talking to for the past six months. Lord, we acknowledge that you are the giver of every good and perfect gift, including the gift of marriage. We ask that you guide and direct this relationship according to your perfect will.
In your word, you have shown us examples of answered prayers and the power of your intervention in the lives of your children. We remember the story of the mother who fervently prayed for her long-lost son and saw her prayers answered after many years. We also recall the thief on the cross who, in his final moments, cried out to you, and you granted him immediate salvation.
Lord, we ask that you grant wisdom and discernment to ###'s son and the girl he is considering for marriage. May they seek your guidance and align their hearts with your will. If it is your plan for them to be united in holy matrimony, we pray for your blessings upon their relationship. May their love be rooted in you, and may they grow together in faith, love, and commitment.
However, Lord, we also recognize that your timing and plans are perfect. If this relationship is not according to your will, we ask for your peace and understanding to fill the hearts of ###'s son and the girl involved. Help them to trust in your sovereignty and to seek your guidance in all their decisions.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness in answering them. We trust in your wisdom and love, knowing that you desire what is best for your children. May your will be done in this situation, and may your name be glorified through it all.
