Let us come together in prayer for your situation. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's will in all circumstances. Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:19-20, "Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
Firstly, we must address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). This is concerning because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6, Jesus states that "no one comes to the Father, except through him". Therefore, we will pray in Jesus name and encourage you to do the same.
Let us pray for your brother's health, both physical and mental. We ask God to guide him to seek the medical help he needs for his tuberculosis and to bring healing to his body. We also pray for your protection, that you will not contract this illness. In Exodus 15:26, God says, "If you will diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you."
We also lift up your brother's mental health, asking God to ease his manic behavior and bring peace to his mind. In Philippians 4:7, the Apostle Paul writes, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we pray for reconciliation between your brother and you. We ask God to soften your brother's heart and bring forgiveness and acceptance for past issues. In Ephesians 4:32, Paul encourages us to be "kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus name, lifting up this brother and his needs. Bring healing, peace, and reconciliation, Lord, as only you can. Guide him to proper care and treatment, and protect his family from illness. Soften his heart and bring forgiveness. In all things, Lord, we ask that your will be done. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will in this situation. Trust in his goodness and faithfulness, knowing that he hears your prayers. In James 5:16, it is noted "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective."
