Please when you can, pray for me. I'm a 74 year old widower and all my adult children are overseas. I attend church every week but as I live alone I'm terribly lonely and depressed.

Can I share something that might seem a bit odd ? Being 74 is simply a number. So if we look at "age" as a reference point, we are looking at life wrong. God has supplied you with amazing ability and talents to overcome any situation. Attending church is ok, but life is filled with adventures and learning new things. Have you thought about going your local community center and see what sort of activities there are that you might enjoy? Find out what you enjoy doing and then volunteering your time to different organizations that could benefit from your experience and wisdom?
It's better than sitting at home, and allowing your loneliness and depression to be your reference point.
Father, thank you for this man who you have fashioned and formed to a life of wonderful experiences. Holy Spirit help him to figure out what stirs his spirit to life and wholeness, joy and peace. In Jesus name. Amen.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I have no personal transport and no public transport within walking distance so getting to community service centres are impossible for me. Also I live on a small state pension making the use of taxis or Uber out of my budget. Bless you.
