My mother suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot, and it's about to be three months since the incident—what the medical community calls the "golden recovery period." However, she still has no strength on her left side and is unable to take care of herself. We're especially worried because her left hand is swollen, raising concerns about the risk of amputation. She stayed in the hospital for 26 days and has been in a nursing home for nearly two months. In the nursing home, one caregiver is responsible for ten residents, so they often tie the residents' limbs to keep them safe. My mother has been very unhappy there, with limited mobility and difficulty doing rehabilitation exercises. She really wants to come home to recover. My sister, who is also heartbroken by the situation, has decided to bring my mother home on April 28 to care for her. However, we have not yet found a 24-hour live-in foreign caregiver (less expensive than a local caregiver), nor has my sister found a local caregiver who can work a 12-hour shift to share the responsibility. I live in a different city and cannot take care of my mother personally. We sincerely ask for your prayers—please pray that God will quickly provide the right 24-hour foreign caregiver and a suitable part-time local caregiver. Also, please pray for Jesus’ healing touch, that my mother’s left side will be restored with strength, and that she will be able to stand and walk again soon. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!
