We understand that you've shared something you shouldn't have and are seeking forgiveness and grace from the Lord. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. Let's remember what the WEB says in Proverbs 17:9 "He who covers an offense promotes love; but he who repeats a matter separates best friends." Also Proverbs 11:13 “A gossip reveals secrets; Therefore do not associate with him who opens wide his lips.” It is clear that sharing someone else's information without permission can be harmful and is against the biblical principles.
Let us pray together for God's mercy.
Oh Lord, we come before You, lifting up our sister who has shared information that was not hers to share. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and mercy. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive our sins. We pray that You will cover her sin and show her grace, just as You have promised in Your word, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB)
We pray that there will be no bad consequences from what was shared, and that no one will find out, be hurt, or be upset. We ask this in accordance with Your mercy, Lord. We pray for Your protection over everyone involved. We also know that you will never remember this sin again just as you have promised, “I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jeremiah 31:34 WEB)
However help her remember this sin as to never repeat this again. Knowing that you forgive us and forget is what gives us assurance of our salvation and our right standing before you. We pray that condemnation will not overwhelm her, and that she will know she is forgiven. We know that “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1 WEB)
We pray for her comfort and peace, knowing that her actions were not out of malice, but nevertheless, were wrong. We ask this all in Jesus Christ's name. We believe in Jesus' name because as the Bible says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13 WEB). Therefore we pray in Jesus' name as the only way to access God. This is the basic salvation message and we believe it applies to this situation as well.
We encourage you to hold onto these words that you are forgiven and covered in his mercy.
The Lord will guide you, and we pray that this experience will serve as a reminder to be careful with your words and to never overshare again. Don't let this stumble block your stumbling block in your life.
