We are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer. Making friends can indeed be a challenge, but we are encouraged by the fact that you have brought this to the Lord in prayer. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:20 (WEB), "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the name of Jesus in your request. This is vital because, as the Bible tells us in John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and find salvation.
Now, let's address your concern. The Bible encourages us to love one another and to be in fellowship with each other. In Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB), it says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
We also found this verse to help you making godly friends in Psalm 1:1-3 (WEB), "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper." We need to be careful to not associate with those who may lead us astray, and instead, seek out those who delight in the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is seeking adult friends. We pray that You would guide them to like-minded individuals who also delight in Your law. Give them the courage to reach out and build relationships that honor and glorify You. Help them to be a light in this world, drawing others to You. We ask that You would bless their efforts and bring forth fruit in their life.
We also ask that You would help them to discern good from evil, and to not be led astray by the world. Give them wisdom and understanding as they navigate these new relationships.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is faithful to answer our prayers. Keep seeking Him and trusting in His perfect will for your life.
