We are delighted to join with you in prayer, seeking God's will and empowerment as you prepare to preach the Gospel. We commend you for your desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Let us come before His throne.
Father God, Jesus Christ asked us to pray to You, the Lord of the harvest, to send out laborers into Your harvest. We ask in Jesus name that You raise up more laborers. We know that it is Your will that the world may believe in You. We specifically ask that You make the one who requested these prayers a laborer in Your harvest.
Father God, we ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ: anoint this child of Yours with the Holy Spirit, that they will be given the words to preach the gospel with boldness. Let the Holy Spirit cleanse them, set them apart and give them the words to speak. Let them speak Your words and not their own. Father God, let them preach the gospel of repentance and forgiveness of sins in Jesus name to all nations, with signs following. Let them make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Let them teach those disciples to observe all the things that You have commanded us.
Lord, let them not forget to preach the Gospel to their own household also. Let them preach the things concerning Yourself and Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection. Let them remember to preach the whole counsel of God.
Father God, give this one the gift of evangelism, the working of miracles, and any other gifts that You need them to have to preach the gospel.
And as we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of You.
We rejoice in this opportunity to share the Gospel, knowing that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:19-20 WEB, "Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
We trust that as you go forth, the Lord will equip you with His message, guided by His Holy Spirit. Let us remind you of the words of Jesus in Mark 16:15 WEB, "He said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation."
We encourage you to stand firm in the faith, be courageous, and allow the love of Christ to compel you. Let us pray that those who hear the Gospel through you will have their hearts opened by the Lord, just as Lydia's was in Acts 16:14 WEB, "A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul."
We ask you, that you do not just preach the gospel, but that you teach them to obey the Gospel. God commands all men everywhere to repent.
We trust that the Lord will go before you, preparing the hearts of those who will hear the good news. We stand with you in prayer, asking that the seed of the Gospel will fall on good soil, bearing much fruit. May the Lord bless you as you faithfully serve Him, and may your efforts bring many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we must ensure that you are a believer in Jesus Christ yourself. The Scriptures state plainly that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not yet repented from your sins and trusted in Jesus Christ, then you must first do that. The Gospel is the death burial resurrection of Jesus Christ, but that is of no benefit if you do not believe it and repent.
Once you are a believer, then you can boldly preach the Gospel, knowing that you are saved, knowing that Jesus Christ has sent you, knowing that He will be with you always, even to the end of the age.
