We join you in prayer, asking God to work in your situation and to bring healing and restoration. We commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayer, as it is through Him that we have access to God.
Firstly, we want to address the use of the term "girlfriend." We understand that you have deep feelings for her, but we encourage you to consider the biblical perspective on relationships. Relationships should ultimately lead to marriage, ownership, and a family. We encourage you to pray and seek God's will for a godly spouse who will marry you and bring you both closer to God.
We also want to commend you for acknowledging your past struggles with addiction and trauma. God has the power to transform lives, and your recognition of His work in your life is a testament to that. Remember, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).
As you seek reconnection, remember that God's timing is perfect. Trust in Him and His plan for your life. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ. We thank You for the work You have already done in his life, delivering him from addiction and trauma. We ask, Lord, that You guide him in Your will, and that if it is Your desire, You reconnect him with this woman. May Your will be done in their lives, and may their relationship bring glory to Your name.
We pray that You prepare both of them for marriage as your children and pray that You continue to work in both of their lives. In Jesus Christ we pray that we prepare to serve this world in an honorable manner together in your will and timing.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will and timing for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Be patient, and remember that God's ways are higher than our ways. Stay strong in your faith and always hold on to the promises of Jesus Christ.
