Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Scott and his struggle with alcohol addiction. Lord, we know that You are a God of deliverance and healing, and we ask that You intervene in Scott's life and grant him the strength and desire to overcome this addiction.
Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:10-11, "But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." We claim this promise for Scott, that through the power of Your Spirit, he will be washed clean from the bondage of alcohol and be justified in Your sight.
Lord, we pray that You would remove any cravings or desires for alcohol from Scott's heart and mind. Fill him with a deep distaste for it, so that he may no longer be enticed by its destructive influence. Help him to find solace and satisfaction in You alone, knowing that true joy and fulfillment can only be found in a relationship with You.
We also ask for a supportive community to surround Scott, providing encouragement, accountability, and love. May he find strength in the fellowship of believers who will walk alongside him on this journey towards sobriety.
Lord, we believe that nothing is impossible for You. We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think . We thank You in advance for the victory that You will bring in Scott's life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to pray for Scott's sobriety and trust that God will work mightily in his life. May he experience the freedom and transformation that comes from surrendering to the power of Jesus Christ.
