We join with you, dear parent, in lifting up Marcus to our Heavenly Father. We come together in Jesus' name, for His is the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let us pray:
"Father, we bring Marcus before Your throne. We ask that You guide him in his college journey, that You grant him understanding and wisdom beyond his years. Let him excel not just academically, but also in his walk with You.
We pray, Lord, that all desires that are not from You be removed from Marcus's heart. 'Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.' (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Let Your will be done in his life, as You know what is best for him.
May Marcus grow into a man after Your own heart, just as King David was (1 Samuel 13:14, WEB). Let him be strong and courageous, not frightened, nor dismayed, for You, Lord our God, are with him wherever he goes (Joshua 1:9, WEB).
We ask this in Jesus' mighty name, Amen."
Encourage Marcus with these words: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might;" (Ecclesiastes 9:10, WEB), and remember, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2, WEB).
Lastly, dear parent, continue to guide and encourage Marcus in the ways of the Lord. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6, WEB).
