Please pray for my life

Yes reading, studying and meditating on Scripture is the key to getting what we desire from Jesus as well as what we claim in Jesus. We can do quick searches online followed by KJV or whatever Bible version we use to find what we desire as well as prayers others have used. God/Jesus does, did and will do everything for His Glory as well as our good. Most of the time I’ll pray for something and then I’ll Thank and Praise Jesus seeing it done in my imagination ignoring any negative thoughts I might have. Anything that happened to another that we read about in the Bible can be Claimed in Jesus for us to experience. Towards the end of the book of Hosea there is Promises as well as other scriptures that if we are doing God’s Will that our offspring will follow. Sometimes we don’t see things right away but other times we do so we wait on Jesus to do what He says.

I must be doing something wrong. I’ve been praying diligently for years. Should I fast? I am not sure how to do that.

Technically, we have the bridegroom with us in the person of the Holy Spirit so as a norm I don’t personally fast as far as eating foods go but as far as entertaining my own personal thoughts for my life goes I do ignore those or I consider that fasting. As I’m going over Scripture I do try to experience what I’m reading about as I think on what He says in Scripture rather than my own thoughts. I’ve gone places and returned a different way or different direction and I’ve gone shopping without talking to anyone including a cashier by just pointing to my throat as if I can’t talk at all from instructions God gave Old Testament Prophets. I have read the entire Bible many times as if I’m trying to know God/Jesus the best that I can. I have searched for God/Jesus as a hidden treasure and found Him in my heart as well as all around me. I share Jesus with whoever I come into contact with. Whenever I’m asked how I am, even if I’m miserable I always share I’m blessed of Jesus. We have to go through the Scriptures believing everything that we read as if God/Jesus wrote us a love letter or wrote it just for us.

I don’t know what you are praying for or seeking God/Jesus for but sometimes things happen immediately for us and other times we have to wait a little longer but Jesus is more than real to and for me. Sometimes claiming I’m healed by Jesus’ stripes can happen rather quickly but other times I have to wait and go through physical therapy sharing Jesus with them.

Was this your original post? I must have read the book of Hosea 100 or more times as well as looked at the original writings on it, enough to believe that we as people don’t really have much of a choice as far as our lives go. God/Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves.

No, this wasn’t my original post. I just notice that a lot of the prayers are cut/paste style and don’t seem genuine. Yours seemed genuine. My original post was about my teenage son who plays video games every chance he gets. I asked for prayers for him to released from the bondage video games have over his life. When asked to get off at night, he turns mean and disrespectful. I also asked for prayers for him to be kind, obedient and respectful and for the Lord to replace video games with something productive such as his studies, a hobby, cooking, anything really. I asked for prayers that he be surrounded by friends that lead him to Jesus. I have been praying for years and no relief. It just keeps getting worse and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been asking for prayers on this site, but it all seems insincere. Some of these are just cut and paste of the same replies on everyone’s posts.

I had that same type of issue with my children as they were growing up. Now that they are older they have blocked me from their devices. I just wait on Jesus to draw them to him. We aren’t perfect and I remember my wife getting frustrated with me when I played video games with them, eventually I quit playing the video games. I believe the rapture is very close so I somewhat panic to warn them. I just hold onto scriptures that seem to promise that our houses will be saved.
