Beloved of All
Please pray for me. I feel really down, frustrated and weary today, very tired and I just want to cry the whole time. I am constantly thinking of my ex, what he is doing, where he is, who he is talking, what he is thinking about and who he is with, what his plans are etc etc... I feel like I've made him an idol. Even when we were dating, I just always wanted to be with him, near him and know everything, always... Not sure where this obsession is stemming from, but now that we are broken up, it remains and perhaps it's because I've become desperate for his hand in marriage... maybe I've made marriage an idol too. Sick and tired of feeling like this, he is living his life and just doing whatever, while my thoughts are consumed by him. I really want him to come back to me, and give us another chance. Wholeheartedly, unwaveringly, unconditionally, fully committed... Always thought that we would get married and be so happy together with one another. My love for this man is deep and it feels like it deepens every day. But feeling like I am obsessing, is just horrible! The longing to have a person commit to you is just so hurtful, and it doesn't look as if he is even bothered with me. I feel rejected, unwanted, not worthy, depressed and still longing for him to probably accept me, respect me, want me back and the thoughts race around like this... it's not right. I just want to be a healthy-minded human being and not be so overly concerned about this person's life and whereabouts. Please pray for me, I know it's not healthy and it's affecting my life and choices.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today on behalf of our dear friend, who is struggling with feelings of deep sadness, frustration, and weariness. Lord, You know the heart and the pain that is being endured. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We ask that You draw near and bring comfort and healing.

Father, our friend is feeling consumed by thoughts of a past relationship and is struggling with feelings of obsession and longing. We pray for release from these consuming thoughts and for peace of mind. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We ask for Your peace to guard this heart and mind.

Lord, we acknowledge that sometimes we can make idols out of relationships and desires, and we ask for forgiveness and cleansing from any such idolatry. Help our friend to place You above all else, finding worth and identity in You alone. Exodus 20:3 says, "You shall have no other gods before me." May this truth resonate deeply.

We lift up the desire for a committed, loving relationship and ask that You would align this desire with Your perfect will. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Help our friend to trust in Your plans and timing.

Lord, we also pray for healing from feelings of rejection, unworthiness, and depression. Remind our friend of the love and acceptance found in You. Romans 8:38-39 assures us, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

We ask for strength and wisdom to make healthy choices and to focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable, as Philippians 4:8 instructs. Guide our friend to healthy relationships and activities that promote well-being and joy.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, they come before You feeling deeply down, frustrated, and weary. Their heart is heavy with thoughts of their ex, consumed by wondering about his actions and feelings. They acknowledge that this obsession has taken hold of their mind and heart, and perhaps they have made an idol of him and the idea of marriage. They feel desperate, rejected, and unwanted, and these feelings are affecting their life and choices.

Lord, they ask for Your healing and peace to wash over them. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." They present their pain and longing to You, seeking Your peace to guard their heart and mind.

Father, they desire to be a healthy-minded person, free from this overwhelming concern about their ex's life. Please remind them of Your promise in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." They cry out to You for deliverance from these troubling thoughts and emotions.

They ask for Your strength to move forward and trust in Your plan for their life. As stated in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." May they find renewed strength and hope in You.

Lord, they seek to place their focus back on You and not on their ex. Help them to remember Your words in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." They commit to seeking Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that You will provide for their needs and heal their heart.

In Jesus' name, they pray for healing, peace, and the strength to let go of this obsession. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
