Beloved of All
I’m so sorry to learn of the suicidal thoughts Amy seems to be having, yet I’m touched by your clear expression of love and concern for her. It is my prayer that Amy will somehow begin to understand God’s tremendous love for her; she is precious to Him and He treasures her more than any of us can ever understand. I’m praying for you, too, that Jesus will lead your way. Please pray for Amy whom is suffering depression, Anxiety, and thoughts of suicide. She also suffers from isolation and loneliness. Heavenly Father, please bless your child and servant Amy, drive out the demons that torment her and send your angles to protect her and keep her safe. Lord, give her hope and joy, and push out the bad stuff. Lord bless her with opportunities to get a car and to get out, bless her with Christian friends and pull her close to you. In Jesus name I pray for Amy, Amen.
One specific way you can help Amy face her difficult circumstances is to listen when she needs to discuss her feelings with you. Another way is to be a faithful, trustworthy friend (or loved one) during this hard time. Remember that changing her circumstances or feelings is something that is largely beyond your control. Just continue reaching out to her, showing her your love and keeping her in your prayers.
Finally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline operates toll-free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just ask Amy to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). In addition, they offer a national chat network to provide online support; it is available Monday – Friday from 2:00 P.M. – 2:00 A.M. (Eastern Standard Time).
