Thank you for sharing your heart and your commitment to fasting and prayer. It is wonderful to see your desire to be sanctified, inspired, and blessed in all that you do, with your focus on Jesus Christ. We are reminded in Hebrews 4:15-16 WEB, "For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
We commend you for your focus on Jesus Christ in your prayers. And in Acts 4:10-12 we read, "be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
As you fast and pray, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:16-18, "Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most assuredly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who has dedicated this day to fasting and prayer. Sanctify their motives, focus, prayers, deeds, and behaviors, Lord. Let every action and thought be a sweet fragrance and beautiful offering before Jesus Christ. Strengthen them in their resolve and help them to complete this day according to Your will.
Lord, hear their prayers and gratitude. Answer with Your great power and might. Let their voice be heard loudly before Jesus Christ, as they seek Your face and Your will. May their fasting and prayer be firmly grounded in Your Living Word and guided by the Holy Spirit.
We also pray for their healing and freedom in spirit, soul, and body, through the wounds and the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May Your healing power touch every area of their life, setting them free and making them whole.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to focus on Jesus Christ and His Word. Be encouraged by Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up." May God bless you generously as you seek Him with all your heart.
