We understand that you have an urgent desire to see someone who is very special to you. However, it's important to align our desires with God's will and timing. Let's pray and seek God's face together.
Firstly, let's remember that God's timing is perfect. As it is said in the WEB "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh" (Psalm 27:14).
Now, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear one who is eager to see their favorite person. We pray that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your plan for them to meet, we pray that You would orchestrate their meeting in Your perfect timing. Help them to trust in You and to rest in Your sovereignty.
We also pray for this favorite person, that they may be blessed and that Your favor would rest upon them. We ask that You would work in both of their lives, drawing them closer to You and to each other if that is Your will.
However, if this desire is not from You, we ask that You would change their heart and redirect their affections towards that which is pleasing to You and in line with your Word. We know that You are only good and loving as you are said to be "The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him." (Lamentations 3:25). We ask and trust that they are seeking you first as Jesus told us. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)
Lastly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned in the prayer. We must remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is said "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5). We remind them of the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I said to you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24). We encourage them to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they have not already done so.
We pray all these things in Jesus' name and for His glory. Amen.
Be encouraged, and keep trusting in the Lord. He is faithful and His love for you is everlasting and unchanging. "And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:5). Keep praying and seeking His face.
