Let us join together in prayer and counsel, seeking God's will in Jesus' name.
Beloved, we are exhorted in James 5:16, Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
First, we thank you for submitting your prayer request in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we have access to God. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Let us address your requests, bathed in prayer and biblical encouragement.
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this brother and his people, his family, and himself, asking for Your divine protection. As it is written in Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust. We pray for their salvation, healing, and a deeper seeking of Your face and Your kingdom.
We intercede for the church, asking for healing from divisions, and for ministers and messengers to be sent out, proclaiming the Good News. As it is written Matthew 9:37-38, Then he said to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.
We lift up ###, ###, ###, ###, ###, ###, and all children suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses, asking for Your healing miracles, Lord. May Your will be done in their lives, and may their families draw closer to You through this trial.
We pray for our brothers and sisters to seek Your face and Your kingdom daily, for their faith to be strengthened, and for less division in the church. As it is written in Romans 12:16, Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits.
We intercede for those struggling with addiction, asking for Your salvation, strength, and the gift of sobriety. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
We lift up those on the verge of committing suicide, asking that You turn them away from their plans and inclinations, and draw them to Yourself, Lord. As it is written in John 10:10, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
We pray for our brothers and sisters with dementia, asking that You remind them of Your unfailing love, and that they would not forget You, Lord. We also pray for their salvation and for visitors to share the Good News with them.
We lift up this brother, asking for Your help, as he is under spiritual attack. As it is written in Ephesians 6:10-11, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
We pray for his friends to come to Christ, and for his wife and children to be godly, to be saved, and to be strengthened with discernment and patience. As it is written in Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
We lift up those who are disabled, unbelievers, and members of false belief systems, asking that You reveal Yourself to them, Lord. We pray for laborers to go out and speak to these people, and for receptive hearts.
Lastly, we pray for strong, godly marriages, asking that husbands love their wives as Christ loves the Church. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it.
We must address that prayer for healing should always be aligned with God's will, as written in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up these requests in Jesus' name. We pray for protection, salvation, healing, and a deeper seeking of Your face and Your kingdom. We intercede for the church, for laborers to be sent out, for healing miracles, for strength and sobriety, for those contemplating suicide, for those with dementia, for those under spiritual attack, for friends and family to come to Christ, for strong, godly marriages, and for Your revelation to unbelievers and members of false belief systems. We pray for Your will to be done in each of these situations, and we ask that You guide us and give us the words to pray according to Your will. We thank You for the gift of prayer, for Your unfailing love, and for the hope we have in Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
