We are grateful for your request and your heart's desire for godliness. We come together in Jesus' name.
The Bible is clear that we should raise our children in the way that will be pleasing to God. God tells us in Deuteronomy 6:5-7 WEB: "You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house." We are to teach our children about God, about His Word, and about right doctrine.
We must also remember that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 WEB). So, it is essential that they are surrounded by people who know and teach right doctrine.
Regarding baptism, we read in Acts 2:38 WEB: "Peter said to them, 'Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'" Baptism is a public declaration of faith and a symbol of the washing away of sins.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this beloved parent and their children. We pray that You would surround them with godly influences, teachers, and mentors who know and teach right doctrine. We ask that You would give them receptive hearts to Your Word and the ability to discern right from wrong.
We pray that they would come to know You personally and call on the name of the Lord. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself and that they would be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.
We also pray for the parent, that You would give them wisdom and guidance as they raise their children in the way that is pleasing to You. Help them to be a godly example and to teach their children diligently.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your children and to trust in the Lord. Remember that God loves your children even more than you do. He longs for them to come to Him and to walk in His ways. Continue to teach them about God and His Word, and trust that He is working in their lives.
Proverbs 22:6 WEB tells us: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Keep trusting God even if you don't see the fruit of your labor. God is faithful. Keep praying with us.
