One thing that concerns me is I see alot of people do things nowadays that had pagan origins, and it in fact gets widespread to where everyone starts jumping on the bandwagon.One such thing which is as common as the nose on someone's face now is cremation.Almost everyone but me prefers it to burial.But where did it get started?If you look at the pagan origins of it in Hinduism they did that to purify the old soul so it could get reincarnated,which we know it Christianity doesn't happen.So by indulging in these practices we're actually copying pagan rites.Also everyone a nd anyone these days including some Christians is into yoga.They say it's just exercise. Bit if they looked it up they would see those "excercises"started as worship positions to Hindu "gods".Of course,astrology is also popular..Being a "copycat" is sometimes the blind leading the blind.A wakeup call is needed..is the request.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Steven Bobb, who has expressed concerns about the prevalence of practices with pagan origins in our society today. Lord, we acknowledge that there are many things in our culture that have roots in pagan rituals and beliefs. We understand that Steven is particularly troubled by the widespread preference for cremation over burial, as well as the popularity of yoga and astrology.

Father, we ask for your guidance and discernment in understanding these matters. Help us to have a clear understanding of the origins and implications of these practices. Grant us wisdom to discern what is pleasing to you and what may be contrary to your will.

In your Word, you have warned us against following the ways of the world and participating in practices that are contrary to your truth. In Romans 12:2, it is written, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Lord, we pray that you would renew our minds and help us to discern what is in alignment with your will.

We ask for a wake-up call for those who may be blindly following these practices without understanding their origins or implications. Open their eyes to the truth and lead them to seek your wisdom and guidance. Help us, as your children, to be a light in this world and to live according to your Word.

Father, we pray for Steven Bobb and others who share his concerns. Grant them peace and assurance in knowing that you are a God of truth and that you will guide them in making decisions that honor you. Help them to find comfort in your Word and to seek your will above all else.

We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for your faithfulness. May your Holy Spirit guide us in discerning the practices we engage in and may we always strive to honor you in all that we do. In Jesus' name, we pray.
