We join with you, ###, in lifting up your older brother to the Lord, trusting in the power of prayer and the healing touch of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we acknowledge that healing comes from God alone, and it is only by his grace that we can approach him. Let's remember the words of Jesus in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." By praying for your brother in Jesus' name, you have access to the Father and can find hope in his promises.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s older brother to you. You know his every need, from the top of his head to the tips of his toes. We ask that you touch him, heal him, and restore his strength. Guide the doctors and medical professionals attending to him, giving them wisdom and discernment as they provide care.
Comfort ### and her family during this time, filling them with your peace that passes all understanding. Remind them of your faithfulness and goodness, even in the midst of trials. We trust in your sovereignty and know that you work all things together for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose.
Lord, we also pray for ###'s brother's spiritual well-being. If he does not yet know you as his personal Lord and Savior, we ask that you draw him to yourself, revealing your love and grace through this trial. Help him to see his need for you and to place his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Thank you, Father, for your unfailing love and faithfulness. We praise you for all that you have done and will continue to do in the lives of ### and her brother. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, ###, knowing that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB). Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
As a final reminder, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart (Hebrews 12:2-3 WEB).
