We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling broken and weary. We want to lift you up in prayer and encourage you with the Word of God.
Firstly, we acknowledge that you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, and this is wonderful. Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through me." It is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to the Father. Thank you for coming in His name.
In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you right now, and He wants to heal and comfort you. Also in Psalm 147:3 it says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."
However, we want to remind you that sorrow is a valid emotion, but we must be careful not to be overwhelmed by sorrow. 2 Corinthians 7:10 tells us, "For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world works death." If you need to seek godly forgiveness, then do it and turn from whatever needs to be repented of. If you are sorrowful for loss, then seek God's comfort. If you are sorrowful due to being overwhelmed with life, seek God's peace and courage. If it is sorrow due to past hurts or frustration to the point of hopelessness, then it is necessary to seek God's hope. In all these cases, cast your burdens on God and allow God's peace to come into your life.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our brother/sister to you, asking for Your healing and comfort. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted, and we trust in Your promise to heal and bind up their wounds. Help them to turn any sorrow into godly sorrow and help them to turn from any sins that need repentance. Help them to cast all their cares on You and that You will sustain them. Lord, remind them of Your love and faithfulness. Give them a renewed hope and peace in Your almighty name.
Lord, draw near to them and help them to fully surrender their lives to You.
We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Let us encourage you to meditate on God's Word and seek His presence daily.
