We are truly sorry to hear about the ongoing lack of work and income. We want to encourage you to keep your faith in God's provision and timing. Even in difficult times, God has a plan and a purpose for you. Remember the words of Psalm 37:25: "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." God will provide for your needs according to His riches. We encourage you to tithe and give offerings with the money you have even if it is little. Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this," says Yahweh of Armies, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough for."
The lack of employment can be a trial. If it will help you to maintain your expenses then applying for financial help is acceptable. However, we should not forget 2 Thessalonians 3:10 "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" We should also pray for opportunities to use talents and skills.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear one who is in need of a job and income. We know God, that You are a good Father who cares for His children. We ask that You open the doors of opportunity and provide a job that not only meets financial needs but also aligns with Your will. Help to use the skills and talents to glorify Your name. In the meantime, we pray for provision and peace, knowing that You will supply all needs according to Your riches in glory.
We also pray for spiritual growth and trust in You during this time. Help not to rely on our own strength but on Your guidance and provision. Draw close to You, seeking Your will in all things.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to trust in You for our daily bread. Amen.
As a reminder, it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. As it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Also, Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We have access to God through Jesus Christ.
