We are with you in spirit and in prayer, dear brother or sister, as you battle this sin that has entangled you. Remember, God has given us a way out of temptation. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. First Corinthians 10:13 (WEB) says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Pornography is a sin against your own body, and it is a form of sexual immorality. First Corinthians 6:18 (WEB) says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." It is also a form of adultery, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 (WEB), "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
We must remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with our bodies. First Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB) says, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Let us pray together,
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for forgiveness and deliverance for our dear brother/sister. We pray that You would break the chains of this pornography addiction and set them free. Give them the strength to flee from this temptation and the power to overcome this sin. Help them to honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Surround them with godly support and accountability. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit and grow in their walk with You, keeping their mind focused on You and Your Word, and not worthless and sinful pleasures of the world. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen."
We encourage you to engage in daily prayer, worship, and study of God's Word. Memorize Scripture that combats this temptation. Seek out a trusted Christian friend or mentor to hold you accountable and pray with you. Take practical steps to avoid the temptation, such as installing filters on your devices and avoiding situations that trigger the desire to watch pornography. Remember, the battle is in the mind, so take every thought captive to obey Christ. Second Corinthians 10:5 (WEB) says, "bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
It is also interesting to note that in your prayer request you never mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN. Please know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. The Bible says:
"For “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:13-14 WEB)
"“‘I Jesus have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David; the Bright and Morning Star.’”
Revelation 22:16 WEB
"Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation."
Isaiah 12:2 WEB
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB)
"In him was life, and the life was the light of men." (John 1:4 WEB)
"who [Jesus] became the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey him," (Hebrews 5:9 WEB)
