Nearly 5 million Ukrainian war refugees have crossed borders into other countries, and an additional 6-8 million internally displaced people have migrated west within Ukraine. This monthβs Prayer Focus is on relief and ministry efforts for these refugees, also known as the diaspora. Within days of the first bombings, TEAM workers in the Czech Republic began receiving refugees, and several other TEAM ministry areas were soon to follow. The most immediate needs for refugees are housing, food, medicine, and other necessities. But as time goes on, their spiritual and emotional needs are much greater. Most of these people are women and children who experienced incredible trauma. The call for the Church to pray and provide spiritual care cannot be overstated. TEAM workers and others ministering to refugees day in and day out also need prayer to help them have strength, endurance, peace and rest. Most work long days away from their homes and families, hearing countless heartbreaking stories with no end in sight. Please pray for each of the ministry regions that are currently serving refugees and the work that God is doing through TEAM and other agencies to meet tremendous spiritual and physical needs.
