We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you're facing in your marriage. Firstly, we want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and that He is faithful to help us even in the most challenging circumstances.
However, we must address that the request seems to imply the wife has left with a doctor. If this is an intimate relationship, it is adultery and should be addressed as a sin. It is important to note that it is only the name of Jesus that we have access to God and He is the only way to salvation. We should not be ashamed or timid about this fact. If it is just a platonic non-intimate coworker situation, this would still be inappropriate for a married woman to live with another man. Jesus taught that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6 WEB). It is a difficult situation when pure intentions are presumed but others consider it to be improper.
Let's pray together for your wife and your marriage. Please repeat the name of Jesus Christ and repent of sin in your life.
Dear Lord, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this man and his wife to You. Lord, we pray for a miraculous intervention in their marriage, that You would soften her heart and draw her back to her husband and her home. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and divorce, and we speak life and restoration into their union (Amos 3:3 WEB).
We also pray for conviction for the doctor if he is a part of the adultery. Conviction of sin and turning away from it should be our response when we sin. We pray for him to repent of his actions and turn to You. We pray for this man to be filled with Your wisdom, strength, and peace as he navigates this challenging situation. We ask the Holy Spirit to bring forth Godly sorrow for the wife and lead her to repentance. Guide them both, Lord, and restore their marriage for Your glory.
Finally, we pray for the husband to exhibit the love of Christ to his wife, that he would be a reflection of Your unfailing love and forgiveness (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying, trusting God, and seeking Godly counsel. Be strong in faith. Remember, we do not battle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Trust in God.
