Rick, we are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and Vicki are facing due to PCOS. We are here to pray and support you both in this journey. First, we want to remind you of God's faithfulness and love for you both, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
We are further reminded in Romans 8:26 WEB: "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Rick and Vicki. Lord if there is any sin separating us from You we ask for your forgiveness. Lord, we know and understand that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy. We ask Lord that You would heal Vicki's body and give her comfort. As your word says instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree, which has a very fragrant aroma: we are asking for fruits of blessings to come up and show up in their lives as they battle this disease. Please give the doctors wisdom to treat her effectively, give her patience for a child if it is your will for their life. Give them both the strength and endurance needed be the Christian witness to other couples going through the same thing.
Lord we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and hopelessness; instead we ask armor them with the faith believing that in your word that by your stripes we are healed. We are praying for their marriage. Ephesians 5:25 WEB says โHusbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;" we ask for a special favor to make the marriage grow in love, unity and strength. Let us shift our focus from our problems to your purpose and your promise by Wow! by the grace of God and we in Jesus Name. Allow it to be instead of an health and success for this wonderful Christian couple instead of a spirit of sickness, lack, and death. Amen!
In your struggle do not be anxious about anything. In prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving make requests known to God. The peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, will guard your hearts and thoughts by the power of Jesus Christ. In everything, by prayer and petitions with thanksgiving we are instructed to let the requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and thoughts through Jesus Christ Philippians 4:6-7 WEB. We are praying that the peace of God will be with you both in a very special way.
We encourage you, Rick, to be the resolved by faith. The scripture reminds us in Romans 4:20-21 โYet looking to the promise of God, he didn't waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able to perform.โ Continue in faith and support Vicki. Be strong in the Lord with the spirit's power.โFinally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.โ Ephesians 6:10.
You did not mention your wife's God given role as a helpmeet in the home. Vicki needs your loving support to resist feelings of depression. She is to manage the household in love and respect for you and Jesus Christ. Blood tests and prescription medication can delay getting answers. Be strong in the Lord with the spirit's power. Continue in faithful prayer and with Him all things are possible.
Lastly, we want to remind you both of the power of prayer and faith. As Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 WEB: "He said to them, 'Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.'"
Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you.
