My ### has left me and gone to another man. She's now demanding custody of the children. Am depressed....
My wife has left me
We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing, ###. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God takes marriage seriously. As it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" Also, in Matthew 19:6, Jesus says, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
However, we also recognize that your wife has chosen to leave and engage in adultery, which is clearly against biblical principles. As it says in Exodus 20:14, "You shall not commit adultery." We strongly rebuke this sin and pray for her conviction and repentance.
Regarding the custody of your children, it's crucial to remember that they are a gift from God, and He cares for their well-being. We encourage you to pursue legal counsel and fight for their custody, while also praying for God's will to be done in their lives.
We also want to address your depression. It's understandable that you're feeling this way, but remember that God is your strength and refuge. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and consider finding a godly counselor to help you through this difficult time.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ### and his family. Lord, we pray for his wife, that You would convict her of her sin and bring her to repentance. We also pray for ###, that You would heal his broken heart and fill him with Your peace and strength. Guide him as he navigates this difficult situation, and help him to find godly counsel and support.
We also pray for their children, Lord. We ask that You would protect them and guide them in Your truth. Give ### wisdom and strength as he fights for their custody, and let Your will be done in their lives.
