We are saddened to hear about the struggle Jared is facing, but we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Let us first endorse the power of prayer and the hope we have in Jesus Christ for deliverance.
"For he has said: 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you.' Therefore we may boldly say: 'The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'" -Hebrews 13:5-6 (WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Jared. Lord, we know that You desire for us to be free from all bondage, and we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Deliver him from the grip of drugs, Father, and help him to find his strength and identity in You. Give him the power to resist temptation and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Comfort his heart, Lord, and guide him back to the path of righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for Jared, believing that God can redeem and restore him. Remind Jared of the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Moreover, ensure that Jared understands the importance of surrender to Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that true freedom can be found. If he has not already, encourage him to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth that confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10, WEB).
Stand firm in faith, knowing that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, WEB). Trust in the Lord, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5, WEB). Continue to cover Jared in prayer and guide him towards Christian support groups and counseling services that can help him overcome this struggle.
