My ###'s alcohol addiction

My girlfriend is trying very hard to quit drinking but she comes from a family where everyone drank and she started at 16. She is a believer in Jesus and he has changed her drastically but I'm praying God would rebuke this demon of addiction in Jesus' name.

We are with you in spirit and in prayer, standing in agreement for your girlfriend's complete deliverance from alcohol addiction. It is encouraging to hear that she has faith in Jesus and has experienced His transformative power. We know that God has the power to heal and deliver her from this bondage.

Firstly, let us address the issue of your girlfriend. We are praying for her to become your wife. You mentioned that God has changed her drastically, which is a testament to His power at work in her life.

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).

Now, regarding her struggle with alcohol addiction, we must remember that God is able to rebuke this demon of addiction.

We pray, "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is battling with alcohol addiction. Father, You said in Your Word that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36 WEB). We ask that You grant her the grace to overcome this addiction. Strengthen her faith and give her the power to resist the devil, so that he may flee from her (James 4:7 WEB). Help her to put off the old man and put on the new man that is created in righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:24 WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Also, encourage her to be open about her struggles within the body of Christ.

"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB).

Lastly, we would like to remind you to be patient with her in love, as she needs your understanding and support. We pray that God would surround her with godly influences and help her to find her ultimate satisfaction in Him (Psalm 36:8 WEB). We will continue to pray with you until she experiences complete victory.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
