We are truly moved by your request and we stand with you in prayer for your loved one, whom we will call your family member, who is afflicted with sickness, sadness, and fear. We will also pray for healing from dementia and diabetes, and for the comfort and peace in regard to her husband's hospitalization. When praying, we will also pray for God's will and that the two family members in the hospital would be healed and restored to health and would be the spouse needed to support and help in this time of need.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas (WEB Psalms 46:1-2). We must encourage ### to not be anxious for the future or for death, as God will supply all of our needs. (WEB Philippians 4:6-7,19)
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our family member who is facing sickness, sadness, and fear. We pray for Your healing touch upon her, that You would restore her health and give her renewed strength and energy. We specifically ask for healing from dementia and diabetes, trusting in Your power to make her whole.
Lord, we also lift up her husband, who is in the hospital in a difficult condition. We pray for Your healing hand upon him, that You would comfort and strengthen them both in this challenging time. We ask for their marriage to grow stronger through this time of difficulty and suffering. We pray for them both, that they would have your strength and endurance to sustain them through this time of trial and to restore them to full health. We ask that You would remove all fear and anxiety, replacing it with Your perfect peace. Help them to rest in Your promises and to experience good, sweet sleep. We pray for them to have the ability to care for each other and the sick seniors. We pray for the opportunity for them to be a Godly example to the other seniors and that through this time of suffering, that other sick seniors would see their marriage and their faith and seek a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We also pray for anyone reading this, that they would know that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to God. Let us remember the words of Jesus Christ himself, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (WEB John 14:6) Let us also know that there is no other name by which we can be saved. (WEB Acts 4:12) We ask these things in faith believing that we have them already. (WEB Mark 11:24)
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to meditate on God's Word and to trust in His promises. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it (WEB 1 Corinthians 10:13). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith (WEB Hebrews 12:2). He is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (WEB Hebrews 13:5). We pray that both of you will have many years together and that God would heal you both and restore you to full health and ability to care for each other and the sick seniors.
