I understand what you are going through, as I also am applying to college. I put it off for years for all sorts of reasons that I now see are irrelevant in the light of God's power. All the doors are His to open and close.
Matthew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the
keys of the
kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
I've been fasting from certain foods, praying and reading my bible more so I can seek God and His will as He helps me accomplish all the requirements for the scholarship applications. When you're trying to seek Jesus, the Devil hates it, because he knows how fruitful it is.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which
do appear.
Everything in life is spiritual. Everyone, whether they realize it or not, is in spiritual warfare. When Jesus quickens us, He prepares us for victory. If you're fighting with Him, the dark kingdom will resist you, but if you resist, they are defeated.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you.
I recommend looking up all the promises for us in the Bible, so you can pray them for your life and loved ones. The Bible says the promises of God are yes and amen, so we can be certain of them (2 Corinthians 1:17-20).
Proverbs 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 16:9
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
Several times these past few days, I've felt intimidated, inadequate, confused, or stressed. I've broken down into tears. Jesus is showing me how to run to Him in these moments. He's been using my parents to help me pray, and motivating me to worship. After I sing and dance for Him, I feel immediate joy.
Philippians 4:7
And the
peace of God, which
passeth all
understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I used some light stretching and deep breathing during prayer and was blessed with deep calm. You may choose to use a warm drink or bath, nature, or an activity that relaxes you, just remember to first go to God so he can banish your stress.
Please ask Him where you are called to go at this point in your journey. I know it can be difficult; there are some things for years I felt I HAD to have, yet now I'm able to pray for His will be done EVEN IF it means I can't have them. At the same time, I'm asking for them with faith and confidence, so I won't forfeit them through doubt. Colleges can be hostile towards Christians, however if God is with you he will keep you secure and stable and bring you through purer and better. I ask Him to bless you with trust, hope, and faith to flourish and excel wherever you are planted. I ask also for Him to instill the love of God in your heart.
Colossians 3:15
And let the
peace of God
rule in your
hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Romans 8:28
And we know that
all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to
his purpose.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect
love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
