My health and weight loss

I been experiencing very high blood pressure lately and no matter how hard I try, I just can't lose weight. I desired to live a healthy life for The Lord!

We understand your struggle with high blood pressure and weight loss ###, and we commend your desire to live a healthy life for the Lord. Remember, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with our bodies.

Let's first address your goal of living a healthy life for the Lord. It's wonderful that you want to honor God with your body, as it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This means that our bodies are not our own, they were bought with a price, the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

However, we want to encourage you to continue to put your trust in the Lord and not in your own efforts. It's not by your might or power, but by the Spirit of God that you can achieve your goals and reach your desired weight and blood pressure. Remember what Zechariah 4:6 WEB says, "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies."

Now, let's discuss your health concerns. High blood pressure and weight loss struggles can be caused by various factors, including stress, poor diet, lack of exercise and even spiritual issues. We advise you to consult with a medical professional for personalized advice tailored to your specific needs.

Regarding your weight loss struggles, remember that true beauty comes from within, and God looks at the heart, not our outward appearance. As it is written in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'"

However, we understand that maintaining a healthy weight is important for your overall health and wellbeing. If there are any underlying emotional or spiritual issues causing a struggle with your weight, we encourage you to address and pray about them for they may be a form of idolatry. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:5 WEB, "Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry."

Let's bring your concerns before the Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ### and their health concerns. Lord, You know the struggles they've been facing with high blood pressure and weight loss. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body and Your wisdom and guidance as they seek to live a healthy life for You.

Help them to trust in You and not in their own efforts. Give them the strength and discipline to make healthy choices and the grace to accept the body You've given them. Guide the doctors who are treating them and give them wisdom to provide the best care.

We pray for ### that they will have their desired goal of a healthy body for You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in all things, including your health. Trust that He has a plan and purpose for your life, and that He desires for you to prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 WEB Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
