Let us begin by remembering the words of Jesus, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." (Matthew 18:19-20 WEB). We are gathered together in Jesus' name to lift up your family's needs. However, we notice that the request does not include the powerful and only name by which we can be saved, the name of Jesus Christ. This is the only name by which we can be saved. All of the scriptures in the Bible were written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Messiah and by believing we may have life. Please examine your relationship with Jesus and confess Him as Lord and Savior.
We are praying for your sister, that God would guide her doctors and the medical treatments would be effective in bringing her cholesterol levels down to a healthy number. We stand on the promise that, "The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up..." (James 5:15 WEB).
We also lift up your brother, praying that his surgery will be successful and that he will be able to return home soon to continue his therapy. We trust in the Lord, for He is our healer. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your healing and comfort for our dear sister and brother. Lord, guide the doctors and medical staff, granting them wisdom and skill. We pray that the treatments will be effective and that they will both experience a full recovery. Lord, we also pray for their faith, that they may trust in You and Your goodness, even in this difficult time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.
