How old is your grandson Sharon? You said that he's older than 15, is he older than 18? The thing is that marijuana is far safer than alcohol and if you succeed in getting him to stop using marijuana he may then switch to alcohol which can literally cause him *far* more harm than marijuana ever could.
You obviously love your grandson very much and if he's older than 18 I can tell you that the one guaranteed thing that will bring him close to you and get him to listen to your advice is for you to sit down with him and enjoy a little marijuana together.
Marijuana is only about as addictive as coffee and *doesn't* cause cancer, brain damage, heart disease, liver disease, emphysema or violence, and is totally incapable of causing death. According to the CDC alcohol kills 80,000 people/year in the U.S. while marijuana kills none.
By far the most dangerous thing about marijuana is the legal ramifications if caught possessing it illegally. These are far worse for a person than any harm that marijuana itself could cause, and for that reason millions of Americans are calling for an end to the failed marijuana prohibition and for marijuana to be put onto the same legal footing as beer and wine.
You personally could do a lot to protect your grandson from harm by joining the movement to get marijuana legalized as a far safer alternative to alcohol. We as a society could prevent a lot of the harm that alcohol causes by giving people the right to choose marijuana instead of alcohol, and I feel that it is the duty of each of us to do all that we can to make this happen.
I'll pray for you and your grandson Sharon, may he stay safe from the law and may you come to see the value for both of you in sitting down with him and enjoying a little marijuana together. Bless you and best wishes.
