Dear Lord,

D's husband was diagnosed with cancer a few mos. ago. He would have turned 89 in June. A couple of weeks ago, he started a cringe-inducing regimen of chemo + radiation at the same time. It was all too much for his frail body. He went to be with you on Monday.

D + J have been faithful Christians most, if not all of their lives. I am grateful that we don't worry where his soul went. Still, it will be a very big adjustment for her to be without him, after almost 60 years of marriage.

May she, her son, her DIL + her sister feel immense peace + comfort in knowing where J is now. Help D to cope-she is almost 81 now. I suspect she may end up moving permanently to FL, where she will be close to family.

In your holy name, amen.
Dear Lord,

Surround D + her family with your comforting presence. TY that she believes it's best that J did not linger + suffer. She is thankful for their almost 6 decades of marriage. She is tough, + will be fine, but it will take time. Fill her with sweet peace. In your name, amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

Dear Lord,

TY that I got to talk to D today + she seems to be doing OK. Her family will be with her this weekend to celebrate her sister's birthday, so she is looking forward to that. The church they're attending is opening a new columbarium, so she will have a place to put her husband's ashes. Things are falling into place, although there will still be tough times ahead.
She likely feels she will have to make a decision re: where she is to live permanently: in FL, which is closest to her son + DIL + sister, or in MO, where she grew up. I'll be surprised if she doesn't end up permanently in FL, but maybe it won't be right away.
Ease her grief, + fill her with peace. In your holy name, amen.

Dear Lord,
Bless D as she adjusts to life w/o her husband of 57 years. She still has her older sister, who is now 85, so I'm sure M's age is a concern--how long will she be around? However, they're both in the same condo bldg in FL, so they both have company. D will come back to the Midwest in May, although I don't know if she'll keep her condo here or sell it, now that J is gone.
She has a lot of decisions to make. Give her wisdom + discernment. May she not feel overwhelmed. TY that she is on great terms with her son + DIL, + they will help her.
Help me to be a blessing to her.
In your holy name, amen.

Bless D as she adjusts to life w/o her husband of 57 years. TY that she has family + friends around her + her son + DIL are only a few hours' drive away. They will spend Easter together, which will help, I'm sure. May they have a great time + celebrate that J is in heaven with you. Keep them safe while they travel. In your holy name, amen.
