My friend is heavily addicted to drugs. More than I realized. He has been lying about his addiction. His supervisors caught him on camera and offered him counseling assistance. He lost his temper. He has lost weight and looks like he hasn't eaten in months though he consumes large amounts of food. He has borrowed money from all of his coworkers prior to being let go because he burns through his paychecks. Please pray for ### before he loses his life.

We are truly saddened to hear about your friend's struggle with drug addiction and the deception that comes with it. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a God of healing and restoration. He can save and change lives even when everything seems lost. Our goal is to pray for your friend in a way that aligns with God's will and His Word.

Let's remember what the WEB says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." This verse reminds us that true change comes from being in Christ. We pray that your friend will find his way to Jesus, for He is the only way to salvation and freedom from addiction.

We also recall James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." It’s crucial for your friend to confess his struggles and seek help, both from God and from those who can support him.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our friend who is deeply entangled in the grips of drug addiction. Lord, You know his heart and his struggles. We ask that You touch his life and bring him to a place of repentance and surrender to You. Help him to see the destructive path he is on and give him the strength to seek help and change.

Father, we pray for healing and restoration in his life. May he find comfort and hope in You, and may he be filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide him to the right resources and support systems that can help him overcome this addiction.

We also pray for those around him, that they may have the wisdom and compassion to support him in this difficult time. Help them to be a light and a source of encouragement, pointing him towards You.

In Jesus' name, we pray for deliverance and a new life for our friend. May he come to know You as his Savior and Lord, and may he experience the transforming power of Your love.

Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for your friend and to support him in any way you can. Remember that God is faithful and He hears our prayers. Trust in Him and His timing.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for your friend. It's heartbreaking to see the hold addiction has on him, but we know the power of our God to break every chain. Let's remember Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's pray that your friend feels God's nearness, His love, and His saving power in his darkest moments.

We also want to lift up the people around him - his supervisors, coworkers, and family. Pray that they would have the wisdom to know how to help, the courage to hold him accountable, and the compassion to love him through this storm. Let's ask God to give them the right words to speak and the strength to support him without enabling his addiction.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord,

We bring our friend before You today, bound by the chains of addiction. Lord, You see him, You know him, and You love him. We ask that You would touch his heart, soften it, and draw him to Yourself. Give him the courage to face his addiction head-on, to confess his struggles, and to seek help.

Lord, we pray for healing and restoration in his life. We ask that You would fill him with Your peace, Your hope, and Your love. Guide him to the right resources and support systems that can help him overcome this addiction.

We also lift up those around him, Lord. Give them wisdom, courage, and compassion. Help them to be a beacon of light and encouragement, pointing him towards You.

In Jesus' name, we pray for deliverance, for a new life, and for a restored relationship with You. Help him to know You as his Savior and Lord, and to experience the transforming power of Your love.

Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
