We are truly sorry to hear about your dad's discomfort and difficulties with constipation. We trust in the healing power of Jesus Christ and we stand with you in prayer for your dad's health. Let us remind you to ask for prayer in Jesus' name. Jesus is the way to the Father.
Before we pray let us read a few verses from the Bible:
Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood out of every tribe, language, people, and nation, and made them kings and priests to our God, and they are reigning on the earth.
Revelation 5:8-10 WEB
They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no way hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:18 WEB
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son. We lift up our dad to You, asking for Your healing touch upon his body. We pray that You would ease his discomfort and allow his body to function normally again. Lord, You know every detail of our bodies and You have the power to heal and restore. We claim Your promises and ask for a miracle for our dad. We also pray for wisdom for his doctors and caregivers, that they would have discernment and knowledge to provide the best care.
Lord, we also pray for our dad's faith, that it would be strengthened during this time. Help him to trust in You and Your goodness, even in the midst of this trial. We ask for the Holy Spirit's comfort and peace to surround him and our entire family.
We come in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
And we also ask for discernment to know if this issue could be related to a spiritual issue or a physical one. Discernment is needed to know if the digestive issues are related to the spiritual issue of bitterness. We ask for the Holy Spirit to search our hearts.
Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
Psalm 139:23-24 WEB
If this is the case we need to identify and address the bitterness with repentance and forgiveness. If it is a physical issue then we still need discernment to know the cause and the treatment.
We ask that you will seek the guidance of a qualified medical professional if the situation does not improve.
And we also ask that you will seek and trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is as important as the qualified medical professional.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32 WEB
And as Jesus said, "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
Mark 9:29 WEB
We ask that you consider fasting as part of your prayer if it is appropriate given the medical condition.
