We are truly saddened to hear about your brother's condition and we are here to support you in prayer and truth.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name. We can approach God the Father in prayer because Jesus offers us access to Him. The Bible tells us:
“For through him, we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.” (Ephesians 2:18 WEB)
“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 WEB)
In moments like these, it's important to remember that God is sovereign and His ways are perfect. While we may not understand why certain things happen, we trust in His goodness and mercy.
We should pray for God's will to be done, and for wisdom and strength for you and your family during this time. We should also pray for your brother's suffering to be eased. We cannot tell God what to do and we should not. If God wants to take him home, then we must trust in that. If God wants to spare him and use him, then we must trust in that. But we can pray that God's will be done, and that whatever the outcome, that it will bring glory to His name.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is suffering in the hospital. We pray for Your healing touch upon his body, and if it is Your will, to take him home to be with You. We ask for Your comfort and peace to surround him and our family during this difficult time.
Help us to trust in Your goodness and mercy, even when we don't understand Your ways. Give us the strength and wisdom to endure this trial, and to bring glory to Your name in all that we do. We ask all this in Jesus Christ holy name, Amen.
Take heart, for God is with you in this trial. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Remember the words of Jesus:
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26 WEB)
Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
