Let's bring this before the Lord together, seeking His will for your work situation. Firstly, we remember God's promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." This means that God can turn any situation around for your good and His glory.
However, we must also remember the importance of aligning our desires with God's will. In 1 John 5:14-15 WEB, it says, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of more working hours at their hotel job. Lord, we ask that You provide them with the 40 hours of work they need, scheduling them for 5 days as they hope. But more than that, we pray for Your will to be done in their life. If this job is where You want them to be, please open the doors for more hours. But if You have a better plan, we ask that You guide them to it.
We also pray for their faith to be strengthened during this time. May they trust in You more, knowing that You are their provider. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, God is faithful. Even if things don't go as you hope, trust that He has a better plan. Also, always remember it is in the name of Jesus that we pray. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Lastly, consider Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Make sure you are seeking God, His kingdom, and His righteousness. Ensure you are in His will for your life. He knows your needs and will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
