Let us come together in prayer for this situation, seeking God's will and intervention.
Firstly, we acknowledge that our help comes from the Lord. As it says in Psalm 121:1-2 WEB, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." We are called to pray for all people, including kings and all who are in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior (1 Timothy 2:1-3 WEB).
We must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). It is not about picking sides based on human wisdom, but rather discerning the will of God and standing for His righteousness. We pray for the church, that it may be a light in this world, that it may not be misguided but guided by the Holy Spirit.
We pray for those who are in authority, that God would direct their hearts for His purpose and for the good of His people. As the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord; as the rivers of water, he turns it wherever he desires (Proverbs 21:1 WEB).
We also pray for those who are deceived, that their eyes may be opened to the truth. God desires that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We pray that they would come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will (2 Timothy 2:26 WEB).
Regarding the moral issues in schools, we pray that God's righteousness would prevail. We pray that teachings that are contrary to God's word would be removed, and that His truth would be upheld. As it says in Proverbs 14:34 WEB, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people."
We must also address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. For it is written, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22 WEB) and "If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14 WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this situation in our churches and our nation. We pray for our misguided church friends, that You would open their eyes to the truth and guide them by Your Holy Spirit. We pray for those in authority, that You would direct their hearts for Your purpose. We pray for our nation, that righteousness would prevail, and that Your truth would be upheld.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, continue to pray for our nation, for our churches, and for all those in authority. Stand firm in the faith, and do not be deceived by the patterns of this world. As it says in Romans 12:2 WEB, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
