We join with you, Koheor, in lifting up your sister Jienna Woods and her military retirement process.
Firstly, we must address something of great importance. Prayer is a vital part of our communion with God, and it's through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only by His name that we can be saved and approach God. Laudable though it is to be in prayer, we must pray to God in Jesus' name.
Now, let us bring your request before the Lord, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty over all things. We are reminded of God's faithfulness to His children, as seen in Deuteronomy 7:9 WEB: "Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with them who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations."
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in Christ Jesus, Jienna Woods. We thank You for her faithful service of 32 years in the military, and we ask that You guide and expedite her retirement process. We claim the promise as stated in Isaiah 40:31: "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."We pray that You, God, will assign a compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable person to her case, someone who will treat her with kindness, understanding, and respect. Surround her with Your favor, as a shield surrounds Your servant with Your goodness. Father, Your Holy word says in Psalm 5:12: "For you, Yahweh, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield."
Lord, looking at Jienna we need to apply other areas of Your Holy word so that we can grow in the faith. It is clearly mentioned in the request that your sister has immune deficiency issues and is taking chemotherapy shots. This is frightening, but as Christians we must be obedient to God if sin is involved in the illness.
We need to know that as your sister is going through treatments that trying to improve this illness medically, we must look at what God says about sickness and health. Examine yourself. Is there any area of understood or hidden sin we must apply to this situation? Also, let us apply the principles as outlined in 3 John 1:2, James 5:14 and James 5:15.Then let your sister repent of any sins and confess to God in Jesus' name. Then let Jienna call for her elders, and let them pray over her and anoint her with oil in the name of the Lord. Prayer made in faith will make her whole; the Lord will raise her up; and if she has committed sins, she will be forgiven. Beloved, pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. All the while, we should continue with medical treatment.
As we deal with any trials and tribulations, keep your heart full of love for God, and trust in Him. Keep the faith, and focus on God's word, so you both will not fall into sin. Believe in God; believe also in Jesus, as is said in scripture God wants us to focus our lives on Jesus, not on our own lives nor those of others. Jesus is always to be the center of our lives. We must be prepared for eternity while holy living honorably fulfilling our responsibilities.
Let's conclude our prayer with a plea for Jienna's healing and spiritual strength. In Jesus Christ's name, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity and disease. Pray for complete healing for Jienna, that God's will be done in her life, and God almighty give her the strength to endure all things as promised in God's Holy word. We apply Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Long ago God said to the ancestor of Jienna, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you." We claim your Godly promises as outlined in Jeremiah 31:3: "Yahweh, appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness."
We stand with you as we wait on the Lord for answers to these prayer requests, trusting that He desires to give His children good gifts.
