We stand with you in prayer against the stronghold of methamphetamine addiction, and we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus. It is only in His name that we have authority and power. Let us come to God with this request.
First, let us address the terminology used. The "Spirit of Methamphetamine" is not a biblical term, and we should be careful not to give undue power to substance abuse as if it were a spiritual entity. The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
Instead, we should recognize methamphetamine addiction as a sinful desire that entices the flesh and a scheme of the devil to destroy lives. Let us pray for deliverance from this bondage, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your help and intervention. We pray for those who are struggling with methamphetamine addiction, and we ask that You grant them the strength to overcome this bondage.
Lord, You have promised that You will not tempt us above that which we are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that we may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. We claim this promise for those who are battling this addiction, and we ask that You provide a way of escape for them.
We rebuke the enemy and his schemes to destroy lives through substance abuse. Lord Jesus, You have given us the victory through Your death and resurrection. We apply the blood of Jesus and You promised us the we have authority and power in Your name. We proclaim freedom and healing over those who are bound by this addiction, knowing that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. John 8:36 WEB.
We pray for those who have made this request. We ask God that You will grow their faith and knowledge of You. We pray that You continue to convict them of sin. We pray that You will create in them a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within them. Give them a heart to know You and the confidence to call on Your name. We pray that they understand that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Thank you Jesus for giving us Your name to use. We believe that they are praying to the one and only true God. We pray that they understand that they can only come to You through Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Jesus: "Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will help you overcome this addiction. Call on the name of Jesus. God does not promise us that we will not go through difficult times, but He does promise that He will be with us. Continue to seek the Lord and His will.
