We join you in prayer, asking God to guide you and prepare you for the marriage He has planned for you. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and He knows the desires of your heart. As it is written in Psalm 37:4, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
We pray that God will bring into your life a person who will see, accept, appreciate, and help you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. As Ephesians 5:28-29 reminds us, Husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly.
We ask God to reveal 'the one' He has prepared for you, and we pray that you both will meet and have the opportunity to talk this month. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6.
Remember to keep God at the center of your desire for marriage. A godly marriage is a reflection of Christ's love for the church, and it should be entered into with that level of commitment and reverence. Be encouraged by 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not easily provoked, and thinks no evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this beloved child of Yours who desires a godly marriage. We ask that You guide them, prepare them, and reveal to them the spouse You have chosen for them. We pray that You cause them to meet and talk this month, and that You would bless their union as a reflection of Christ's love for the church.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be patient, stay faithful, and trust in God's perfect plan for your life. He knows your needs and will provide for them according to His riches in glory.
