We join you in prayer, asking God to guide you and prepare you for a godly marriage.
We pray that God will lead you to a person who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. We ask this in accordance with the principles laid out in Ephesians 5:28-30 WEB:
"So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones."
We pray that God will reveal "the one" to you, the person He has chosen to be your spouse. We ask that God will cause you and your future spouse to meet and talk this month, as it says in Proverbs 19:14 WEB:
"Father and mother are the inheritance of Yahweh; official guidance will obtain them as an inheritance."
As you await God's perfect timing, take comfort in Psalm 37:4 WEB:
"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Remember, it is God who instituted marriage, and He will provide the right spouse at the right time.
We must add that the reason that God cares so much about marriage and who you are married to is because this is a direct link to the quality of your eternal life in heaven.
As the Bible states in Matthew 19:4-6:
"4 He answered, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate.”
